Feedback on the roster updates for NBA 2K13 on 2/22/13.

Kyrie Irving – (89) +1 After an amazing All-Star weekend  starting with the Rising stars challenge by putting up 32 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists displaying his ball handling skills and possibly showing the world that he is the best ball handler in the NBA (just ask Brandon Knight).  On Saturday night Irving wins the 3 point shootout and showed his skills in the All- star game on Sunday. Irving is starting to show that he is a top 5 point guard in the league. He is currently averaging 23.7 ppg while dropping 5.6 apg. A  +1 (89 overall) might be a little low for Irving, but it’s a start. I would have put him at 90.

Danilo Gallinari – (77) +1 Gallinari has been hot in his last few games doing everything. In his last game against Boston Danilo scored 26 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and dished out 5 assists in a win over the Celtics. Gallinari is averaging 17.3 ppg, 5.5 rpg, and 2.4 apg. Gallinari deserves a 77 (+1) and I’m glad to see NBA 2k13 notice his play and reward him for it. However, I would like to see his rating hit the 80 mark.

Terrence Williams – (73) -3 is not even close, I’m not sure what’s going on with Williams overall rating of a 73. He has never done anything in the NBA and is currently averaging 2 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. I know he is very athletic and has a good basketball body, but he should be a 58 or 59, not a 73.

5 guys that need some serious upgrading

Omer Asik (70) – Asik is the 3rd leading rebounder in the NBA with 11.5 rebounds per game. His grade in NBA 2k13 for rebounding is currently an A- and should be an A. Omer also puts up 10.5 ppg and is one of only 8 players in the NBA that scores over 10 points and grabs over 10 rebounds per game. The rockets like to run Pick n roll’s with Lin and Asik and kick it out to the corners, but when he gets touches inside he can score, NBA 2k should bump his inside scoring from a c grade to a b- grade and his overall should go from a 70 to a 76.

Tony Parker (84) – Parker is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. He always puts up numbers and the Spurs always win. He can get to the basket with the best of them and not to mention Parker has rings unlike any of the other elite point guards. Tony has been killing in the month of February. Parker is scoring 27 ppg (3rd in the NBA) and dishing out 9.1 apg (2nd in the NBA) this month. TP should go from an 84 to atleast an 88 or 89.

Larry Sanders (73) – Larry Sanders might be one of the best defenders in the low post in the NBA. Sanders leads the NBA in Blocks with an average of 3.3 bpg.  He is a known for his quickness and length on the low block. Sanders is putting up 8.7 ppg and 8.6 rpg. Larry’s post Defense rating in NBA 2k is a b+ and his Athleticsm is a B-. They should change Sanders Post Defense to an  A and his Athleticism to a B+. His overall should be a 76 or 77.

Steve Novak (53) – Novak is one of the best 3 point shooters in the NBA and 2k rewards him with this. Steve has an A for a grade. What I don’t like is that he isn’t as bad or should I say terrible at everything else. NBA 2k13 should bump the rest of his game up a little to atleast make him respectable in the game with an overall of 65 or 66, not a 53.

Greg Smith (56) – Greg is role player for the Rockets coming in and giving them quality minutes down low defending the post. Smith is putting up 5.5 ppg, 4 rpg, and has a + 8.36 EFF. This is good for the minutes that he plays. I’m not telling you that he is a beast, but he is a quality role player that should be a 63 or 64, not a 56.

Players to watch out for by the next upgrades-

Roy Hibbert, Tristan Thompson, Zach Randolph, Dirk Nowitzki, and Paul George
