NBA 2K13: 2/15/13 player upgrades feedback

Posted February 16, 2013 by Tyler Whitcomb in Rosters

Brook Lopez – +2 (81) is a no-brainer, Lopez is averaging 19.8 ppg and 7.4 rpg and making his first all star appearance. I actually wouldn’t have been surprised at all if he would have gotten a +4 and an overall of an 83.

James Harden – +2 (88) is a start, but he deserves to be a 90 or higher. Harden is also making his first all-star Appearance while currently averaging 26.1 ppg. This is 5th in the NBA. Out of the top 5 scorers in the NBA, only King James and Durant have a better TS%.

Chris Bosh – +2 (84) is spot on. Bosh is averaging 17.7 ppg and 7.4 rpg. He is doing this on a loaded Miami Heat team. His numbers are off the charts for a 3rd option, just something to consider. Bosh just was named an all star starter by his head coach due to an injury.

Nikola Peckovic – +2 (78) is again a good start. Peckovic should easily be in the 80’s for an overall. Peckovic is putting up 16 and 9 a night.

Jeff Green – +1(78) Why not? I’m starting to like Green more and more. He is a very underrated defender as well.

5 guys that need some serious upgrading:

Stephen Curry (83) – Curry is 8th in the NBA in scoring while putting up 21 ppg shooting 44.7% from beyond the arc and 90% from the charity stripe. Curry got snubbed big time on not making the All-star team, but an 83? To me he is a top 20 player in the NBA and should be around an 85-88 overall.

Nikola Vucevic (68) – Vucevic is putting up 12.4 ppg and 11.5 rpg for the Magic. Nikola is a B- for rebounding in 2k13 currently. Are you kidding me? Vucevic is 4th in the NBA with 11.5 rpg and 3rd for Offensive rebounds with 3.5 per game. In the last 10 games he is killing it with 13.3 rpg (2nd in the NBA) and 1st for offensive rebounds with 4.3 per game. Nikola Vucevic should go from a 68 to a 78, yes +10 by next upgrades.

Greivis Vasquez (73) – Vasquez is putting up 13.9 ppg, 4.6 rpg, and 3rd best in NBA 9.4 apg. This 6’6 Point Guard has been on a tare this season. Vasquez was named player of the week on 12/24/12. Over the last 10 games Vasquez has put up 10.2 apg (#2 in NBA) and 3.92 assists to turnover ratio. In thelast 10 days this is the best in the NBA. Vasquez should go up 4 or 5 in overall to a 77 or 78.

The last two are Dwight Howard’s Rebounding is a A- and if Lebron James can possibly go from a 99 to a 100. First off Howard is leading th league in rebounds again and might be one of the top 5 rebounders in league history when it’s all said and done. Dwight Howard isn’t playing his best basketball, but he should be an A for rebounding. The other player Lebron James just set a record for 6 straight 30 point, 60% shooting games in a row. King James is the best that I have ever seen! 100 would be justice.

Players to watch out for by the next upgrades:

Omer Asik, E’Twaun Moore, Larry Sanders, Tristan Thompson, and Zach Randolph

This is presented by Tyler Whitcomb’s top 1,000 basketball players in the world book.

And you, what are you most looking forward to seeing in the next update?
